François Moutou is a veterinarian, honorary president of the Société française pour l'étude et la protection des Mammifères and a former researcher at the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire des aliments (National Food Safety Agency) in the field of epidemiology of animal diseases.
Jan Zima (1952-2019) was a professor in the Faculty of Science in Brno. Since 1976, he worked on the evolutionary and comparative molecular biology of a large number of Eulipotyphla and rodent families. His work includes authorship of 24 monographs and he also collaborated on the Atlas of European Mammals in 1999.
