The author is a gifted writer and can take his readers to the mountaintop after traveling with him through the valleys of his well-lived life in North America, in the Pacific, and on the islands of the Caribbean. I highly recommend this book not only for oneself but also for one's loved ones.

Hedrick Edwards has produced a work that has the potential to be a literary masterpiece. Its manner of expression makes for enjoyable, intelligent reading. While stimulating profound theological reflections, the biographical interludes included, together with the poetic and artistic elements, add special human interest to his theology. Another special feature of the book is the link it forges between critical, theoretical discourse and a phenomenological unfolding of real-life experiences in the autobiographical confessions. Unlike much of contemporary philosophy, in which the two traditions are theoretically opposed, the author of Agnus Dei sees them as complementary. All in all, this work captures a breath of vision that is magnificent and satisfying, and I fully endorse it to all who seek further clarity in their journey of faith.
