Utilizing Mark and Luke-Acts as case studies, Norman Petersen moves beyond redaction criticism to show both the necessity and the possibility for literary criticism to be an integral part of the historical-critical study of biblical writings.
Norman R. Petersen is Washington Gladden Professor of Religion Emeritus at Williams College, and the author of the award-winning Rediscovering Paul: Philemon and the Sociology of Paul's Narrative World and Literary Criticism for New Testament Critics.
