Michael Prestwich was educated at Charterhouse, and read history at Magdalen College, Oxford. He did research for his doctorate at Christ Church, Oxford, and spent ten years as a lecturer in medieval history at the University of St Andrews. He is at present Reader in Medieval History at the University of Durham. |
